Its those that can leverage power by affording opportunity to others which lets them play spite games against their foes and get away with it..
The police regulary do business with such urban\corporate gangsters.
What? People in power make the rules and break them?
No way!
On the other hand, in the US the power really is in the public eye, and cops are regular joes as well. Any 'everyday cop' would much rather find some rich/powerful ******* doing something dark and dirty and knock him off the ladder and flat on his butt for the media, than bust weed/crack dealer #23987538 or wife smacker #138308113.
People honestly think that the cop that arrested the black harvard prof was a racist? Nonsense, he saw some high up, high educated dip**** pulling the race card, so he handed the guy his ass. ♥

Now, I find it perfectly justifiable for a cop to abuse his power if the suspect is italian. ♥

Originally by: Micheal Dietrich My best experience with an officer though was when he pulled me over because my tags had just expired. Throw in the fact that I had no insurance and my license was already suspended. I knew I was ****ed. He knew I was ****ed. I was completely ready to be put in cuffs and be hauled off when he came up and said he'll give me a citation for no insurance if I get out and walk home. Never even gave it a second thought as I marched happily home in 105 degree weather. In fact that was the last time I've been pulled over.
What a lot of people seem to fail to grasp is, when you break the law, they have to fill out long boring reports. Its annoying, it sucks, and if the cop has the chance to let it go without the need of filing a report, he will usually jump at it.
Its another reason cops hate law breakers, they're creating more work/reports for the poor guy. ♥
